Built From Weekend Fishing Trips, Dark Humor & Good Memories🎣
Reel Lazy Club started long before it had a name.
I grew up in a military family, and nearly every weekend meant fishing with my dad. For him, it was a way to decompress, get outside, and escape the noise for a while. For me, it was where I learned how to bait a hook, clean a fish, get my hands dirty, and understand a steady supply of military talk and dark humor.
There was no easing me into it, either. If we caught it, there was a good chance I was helping clean it.
We started with simple catfish trips, and somewhere along the way, fishing became part of who I am. Now I live in Florida, where the fishing options are a little crazier, the weather is less predictable, and there is always something new waiting in the water.
More Than Just Catching Fish
Reel Lazy Club is a small, family-owned business built for people who know fishing is rarely only about the fish.
It is about:
- Early mornings
- Missed bites
- Questionable decisions
- Stories that improve every time they are told
- The peace that comes from being near the water
We wanted to create apparel that feels like the people who wear it: comfortable, honest, a little sarcastic, and never too serious.
👕 Good Quality Should Not Be Complicated
We know the frustration of ordering a shirt that looks great online but arrives thin, stiff, poorly printed, or shaped like it was designed for someone else entirely.
Cheap may look tempting, but replacing the same disappointing shirt twice is not much of a bargain.
That is why we focus on premium Comfort Colors® tees, quality printing, and designs we would genuinely wear ourselves.
We review our designs, check how they look on the garment, and pay attention to the print, placement, color, and overall feel before we are comfortable putting them in the store.
We would rather offer fewer shirts worth wearing than fill the shop with random designs just to make the collection look bigger.
Old-School Values, New-School Ideas
Technology changes. Businesses change. The way people shop changes.
Some values should not.
I was raised to treat people the way I would want to be treated. It may be simple and old-fashioned, but it is still true.
That means:
- Being honest when something goes wrong
- Communicating clearly
- Avoiding unnecessary runaround
- Treating customers like people, not order numbers
We use modern tools and new ideas, but the values behind Reel Lazy Club are the same ones I grew up with:
Work hard. Keep your word. Treat people fairly. Do not be afraid to get your hands dirty.
Reel Lazy Club is for fishermen, boaters, lake people, weekend escape artists, professional snack holders, and anyone who would rather be near the water.
Thanks for being here, and may your next fish be at least slightly larger than the story you tell about it.
